IELTS

IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is a high-stake English language proficiency test for higher education and immigration. Large number of organisations worldwide, including educational institutions, employers, governments and professional bodies, accept IELTS scores as the evidence of your English language proficiency. IELTS has been well designed and developed by language assessment experts. It tests the four English language skills, listening, reading, writing, and speaking that you need for success in employment or study placement in English-medium programs.

There are two versions of IELTS tests, IELTS Academic and IELTS General. If you are preparing for the entry into a university or college program for study, IELTS Academic should be your choice. IELTS Academic measures your level of English language proficiency in an academic environment. It tests your academic language and evaluates if you are ready to begin your studies in an academic program. If you need English language test scores for immigration, IELTS general training is for you. IELTS General Training measures your English language proficiency in contexts of practical and daily communication that can be in any workplace, business transactions, or other social situations.

We offer intensive training in small classes for the four language skills. In addition to IELTS textbooks, we also select and develop supplementary learning materials based on your level and needs. Other than daily classes, we give you assignments, mark your assignments, and offer feedback. We do follow-up check on your improvement based on your performance in class, quizzes and mock tests to keep you on track. We develop mock test materials, administer mock test bi-weekly to train your test-taking strategies. We maintain email communications with you after class and respond to your questions promptly.

TOEFL

TOEFL, Test of English as a Foreign Language (American English), is a standardized test to measure your English language ability as a non-native speaker preparing for the entry into an English-medium university program for study. The test scores are accepted by English-speaking academic and professional institutions. TOEFL is the key product of ETS recognized as another high-stake English test as IELTS.

The Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT Test) is an intensive four-hour test consisting of four sections with a 10-minute mandatory break in between. Each section measures one of the four basic language skills although some tasks may test your integrated multiple skills. The full score for each section, listening, speaking, reading and writing, is 30. The total score for the four sections is 120 points. All tasks measure your English language proficiency in an academic environment within higher-education institutions. Note-taking is allowed during the TOEFL iBT test.
